I was so excited when I was contacted by The Heart Bandits to photograph a surprise proposal in a hot air balloon ride with Sky’s The Limit!  They coordinate really amazing opportunities for a truly unique proposal.  The plan was that I would meet Akshar and Nirzari, and I’d just tell Nirzari that I was hired to take a few photos of them up in the balloon.  Here’s what happened next!

We had to wait a little while until the balloon was ready, so we took a few photos by this cool tree.We finally hopped in the balloon and were rewarded this this amazing view!Akshar handed Nirzari this beautiful poem:We had this incredible view of the ocean and mountains! Then we finally flew over this field where a banner was set up asking her to marry him.  She had no idea that he was going to propose until she saw it.Then he dropped down on one knee…Check out the ring, it’s pretty amazing! Then we landed in a big field, and they were off to celebrate their engagement!Congratulations!  It was a beautiful trip and I know your future will be a happy one!

Mya and Elijah met at work and dated for a while before any of their co-workers suspected!  Eventually, they all found out and Mya and Elijah began the next stage of their journey, their wedding!  They married at San Rafael Catholic Church and then everyone headed to Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club for the reception.  It was such a beautiful day, and Mya and Elijah’s friends and family were so kind and great to work with.  There was lots of laughter, silliness, and touching moments.  I think it was obvious to everyone what a great couple Mya and Elijah make.  Thank you both so much for letting us be a small part of your wedding day!

I have to give a huge thank you to Cherry Blossom Floral Designs who referred Mya and Elijah to be, and who designed the incredible florals!

They played this really fun game where Mya had to guess which guy was her husband, and Elijah had to guess which leg was his wife’s.  It was hilarious!

  • Hi,

Just saw the photos from May & Elijah’s wedding! I loved them! You did a great job. Can’t wait to share them on our blog and shout you out! Hopefully we can work together again in the future.

    All the best,

    Nicole Manalo

My very most favorite part of Kyri and Tyler’s wedding was their ceremony.  I watched them through my camera lens and I couldn’t help but smile the whole time.  They spent most of the ceremony smiling and giggling at each other.  It was really sweet to watch and they both couldn’t be nicer people.

We started the day at St. Elizabeth Seton, where both Kyri and Tyler were baptized.  After the ceremony we headed to the Vista Optimist Club for the reception.  Their families and friends put in a ton of help and created the most lovely reception space.

Thank you for sharing such a joyful day with us!

Haley and Neil gathered their families and close friends for an intimate destination celebration at Paradise Point.  It’s kind of the perfect spot in San Diego.  Ocean, amazing tropical gardens and lots of fun things to do.  They have two children together and that’s what made their wedding even more special.  They were married by the fabulous Reverend Tuttle from Vows From the Heart and the Paige from Bliss Events kept the day running smoothly.   The guests joined them for cake and champagne after the ceremony.  I was so honored to be a small part in a truly great day.  I wish your little family tons of happiness!

Jeannie and Daniel met each other for the first time at Starbucks at UTC.  So I love that they chose a location that means something to them for their engagement session.  Then we headed over to UCSD Scripps Seaside Forum for the rest of the session.  They are getting married their next summer and love it, so it was another perfect spot.

Jeannie and Daniel have such an natural ease with each other.  They are super sweet together, they laugh a lot, and I can tell they are a great match.  I can’t wait to see how the amazing wedding they are planning turns out!

Jeannie you are so absolutely beautiful! You both look so happy in these photos. Great job on capturing the emotion to the photographer; the viewer can’t help but smile when one looks at the photos and sees how happy you two are. Love, love, LOVE!
