Joya hired me via email, so it was wonderful to finally meet them both on their wedding day at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Joya and Joe have so much love and laughter together, it was beautiful to see! It was truly a celebration of friends and family, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it.
It’s easy to see that you were both meant to be together, and I wish you tons of happiness!

This was my first time photographing a same sex wedding. There are a bunch of different names for it, since an official wedding is not yet legal in California. But the most important part wasn’t what we should call it, but what it meant. What I saw was two men who wanted to commit their lives together in front of their families and friends. It was beautiful and very touching ceremony at the Catamaran Resort. Bethel from Ceremonies by Bethel was the perfect person to marry them. She created a ceremony that was personal and funny and perfect. The reception at the San Diego Zoo was so fun and everyone got to touch and learn about lots of wild animals. Drew Miller is a great DJ and kept the dance floor full all night.
Congratulations Trevor and Jeff. I’m so glad I got to be a part of it all!

I loved everything about this wedding. There was such a feeling of love and fun and silliness that surrounded the whole day. My heart was smiling when I left. Weddings like this make me feel so lucky to be able to do what I do.
The Bernardo Winery is a really cool and unique venue. It has some funkiness, lots of beauty, and it was the perfect spot for Andrea and Jason’s wedding. I can’t wait to share these photos with you!

Tova and Scott hired me just three days before their wedding, and I’m so glad they did. They put so much thought into all the beautiful details of their day. Their ceremony was on the North Lawn at Marina Village and the reception was in the Bayview Room.
