I’ve photographed Kelly and Ryan’s wedding, Maddy’s newborn photos, and now little Zachary. I love their teamwork approach to parenting, they’ve got it down!

This cute little family is about to add another little one into the mix! I can’t wait to meet their new baby boy or girl. It’s so fun not knowing! We met up at the lovely Buddy Todd Park in Oceanside, to capture this little family of three (almost four).

Shawna and Alain were supposed to have a big celebration last year to celebrate their 10 years of marriage. But, Alain ended up being deployed to Afghanistan, so we celebrated their 11 years of marriage, and 2 kids, at Paradise Gardens in Oceanside!
A couple of things really stood out to me. Shawna really wanted good food, and her guests to have lots of fun. And really, the whole afternoon and evening was just that. Everyone loved the photo booth, the food by Slice of Heaven Catering was delicious, a rocking dance floor, and they even had Party Donuts and a Haagen-Dazs Station. Yum! Victor with Can-Do is always a fabulous DJ, and all around great guy. The lovely flowers are by Sweet Flowers. And I especially have to thank Alice of Paradise Gardens and Darica of SD Traditions for the smoothness and ease of the day.
Shawna and Alain, I’m so thrilled to have been a part of such a wonderful celebration. You have such a beautiful family, and you are an example to us all of your support of each other. Congratulations!

We decided to do an early morning beach session for Jewel and Ryan’s photos. It was such a great idea, the beach was mellow and the light was perfect. And, I just laughed the entire time. I’m not even sure what was so funny (maybe everything is funnier at 8am), but we had a ton of fun. Maybe I’m the one who’s extra hilarious? 🙂
The wedding is going to be fabulous!
I can’t wait for Jen and Shane’s wedding at the gorgeous Estancia La Jolla next month. I love their natural ease together, and it was great getting to know them. We cruised around downtown Carlsbad, and then ended up at the beach.
Engagement sessions make me happy. I love laughing with each couple and chatting about our lives. I get to meet the most wonderful people that way!
