I think I laughed a lot at Lorena and David’s wedding. Everything was fun and silly and sweet. Once again, I always get to work with the greatest people. We started off at Lorena’s sister’s house for getting ready photos, and then we headed to St. Michael Catholic Church, then Balboa Park, and finally the Holiday Inn SD on the Bay. It was a long day, but totally worth it. I love when I see a couple that is just meant to be together. Congratulations you two, thanks for having us! On a side note, I do have to give a little shout out to their video guy Jason, he was great to work with.

These pictures look great! The dancing ones are hilarious! You have few blog stalkers from the wedding so I know we were not the only ones anxiously waiting to see these teasers! We can’t wait to see the rest!

I LOVE the one of them on the tree roots! It was totally worth the hike.

What a fun wedding with the greatest people.  Weddings like this really make me feel like I love what I do.  One of Justin’s friends asked him if he was nervous before the wedding, and Justin said, “No, I’m just excited”.  And that’s how the whole wedding was.  It was beautiful and fun and funny people, just perfect!  And I’m so happy I got to be a part of it!

I believe this involved a race to drink wine, I think you can tell who was the winner!

The sparklers turned really smoky.  And I realized alcohol and sparklers are a scary combo.  But makes for fun photos!

Chelsea, we LOVE these pictures! Such a tease… we cannot wait to see all of the pictures! Thank you for being a part of our big day and capturing it so beautifully. We could not be happier with you and your photography. We saw you with two cameras hanging from your neck while helping pour champagne! You are the best! One million times, thank you!

I love the group shot! I can’t wait to see if mine comes together when you photograph it at the Wild Animal Park. What a cool memory for all those guests and the bride and groom! I love how you find the twinkle lights places and do the bride and groom shot there…so romantic and timeless. When you see all these blog postings you are reminded that there is no one way to have a wedding, that everyone here does what fits their personality. I love that. Great job!

I can’t believe my little sister is having a baby.  For some reason, in my head, she’s still stuck at 17.  When did she grow up???  But she looks beautiful, and I know they are going to be great parents.

Lindsay’s husband Nick was in charge of my daughter while I did some pictures of Lindsay alone.  He was obviously doing a great job, because this is what I looked over to see 🙂

***Disclaimer***  I don’t bring my kids to photo sessions, but if you’re related to me, and I’m working for free, you just might have a kid or two there!

Beautiful, beautiful Lindsay. Great shots Chelsea.

I was so thrilled to finally photograph Jamielyn and Alex’s wedding.  Jamielyn first contacted me about her wedding, and then contacted me again because she was interested in learning wedding photography.  So she became my intern.  I really admire when someone is willing to work hard for something they want.  Jamielyn would drive from Temecula to San Diego to work with me without being paid.  That is dedication.  I should mention that she was also in school full time.  But, she was a great intern and I had to start paying her, she deserved it.

But now she has moved away…  And she’ll either have a fabulous career in dental hygiene or wedding photography, or both!

Now, enough about that, let’s get on to Jamielyn and Alex and their long history together.  They started dating in high school and have been together ever since.  They survived through high school, college, and living on opposite ends of the country.  So I think it’s safe to say that they truly belong together.  And after 10 years together, they had a really beautiful and fun wedding. Congratulations to you both, it was a pleasure to be a part of your wedding!

So anyone who knows Maya, knows this look.  She does it when she’s hungry, excited or just wants to get you.  Here, she’s trying to get the glasses.  It can be a tad scary when she’s coming at your face.  I proudly present, my charming child:
