This was my first time photographing a same sex wedding. There are a bunch of different names for it, since an official wedding is not yet legal in California. But the most important part wasn’t what we should call it, but what it meant. What I saw was two men who wanted to commit their lives together in front of their families and friends. It was beautiful and very touching ceremony at the Catamaran Resort. Bethel from Ceremonies by Bethel was the perfect person to marry them. She created a ceremony that was personal and funny and perfect. The reception at the San Diego Zoo was so fun and everyone got to touch and learn about lots of wild animals. Drew Miller is a great DJ and kept the dance floor full all night.
Congratulations Trevor and Jeff. I’m so glad I got to be a part of it all!
Oh! I love these!! I love how well you captured both the amazing love and the total fun that Trevor and Jeff share with each other, and with those large group of folks who came together to celebrate them! Such a pleasure to work with you for these two, and I can’t wait to see more!
