I met Theresa and Joaquin for the first time on their wedding at The San Diego Wild Animal Park.  They had a few great things going for them…  Theresa was totally gorgeous and I am in love with her dress, they allowed plenty of time for photos, and I love a wedding with tons of cute kids running around!

I am in the middle of my really busy family portrait time, but I wanted to get these on the blog.  I hope you guys had a great time at your wedding!  Thank you so much for having me be a part of it all!

Beautiful job Chelsea! I love the ring shot.

Katie and Charlie chose the big wedding date this year, 10-10-10 for their fabulous wedding.  They have know each other for many years, so it was such a celebration for them to finally be married.  The day couldn’t have been more perfect.  Gayle Feallock from Just Imagine Weddings organized the day flawlessly, and with such calmness.  And she also officiated the ceremony.  I love a gal who can do it all 🙂

The beautiful flowers are by Adelaide’s Flowers, and the cake is by Azucar.

Congratulations Katie and Charlie.  I’m so glad you guys finally figured it out and ended up together :).  I think you’re perfect together.

Tammi and Michael live in San Francisco, but planned a destination wedding at the San Diego Wild Animal Park.  Tammi did a lot of DIY projects for the wedding, and I LOVE their cloth and button bouquets and boutonnieres they had made from a seller on Etsy.  Their wedding was perfect.  We had beautiful weather, lots of time for photos, and super nice people.   Tammi and Michael have a way of making everyone always feel at ease,  and they bring a ton of laughter and silliness everywhere they go.  It was really great to be a part of their day.  I smiled a ton and I felt like they are truly a right match for each other.  Congratulations to you both, I know you’ll find a lot of happiness if life 🙂

  • Hi Chelsea Anne,

You were the photographer for the Wong wedding back in October, and we provided the cake. Your photo was so lovely… I snagged it for our site and it of course gives you to photo credit. Hope you don’t mind!

What a fun cake and your photos made it look fabulous. Thanks so much!

  • Hi Anne,

Great work. All your photographs are very much impressive but 3 photographs are just outstanding – 15th, 16th and 19th. I just love them. Thanks for sharing.

  • I really love the buttons! I have wanted to make something like those since I saw it on http://weddings.gatheringguide.com/ac/diy-wedding-tips/buttons-bouquets-and-boutonnieres … is that where you saw it too?

Tammi and Michael flew me to San Francisco for the day to photograph their engagement.  They both live there, so I was thrilled to be able to take pictures in some of their favorite places.  Here are a few photos, and next up are the wedding photos.

When you first meet Nikki and Donn, you can’t help but want to be their friend.  They are just nice and funny and real.  I knew I felt that way after knowing them briefly, but it was truly amazing to witness how LOVED they are by their friends and family.  It was a really cool thing to witness.  And, I don’t think I’ve ever met a more expressive couple (as you’ll see in their photos :).

Their wedding was a free flowing event.  It was at an amazing private home in Del Mar.  They guest were free to move around outside and in.  It had a cocktail hour feel.  You could eat, dance, and mingle at your leisure.  So to sum it all up, it was awesome.  The food was truly yummy, the weather was perfect, the flowers were so beautiful, and the whole table of cupcakes was perfect.

Thank you both SO much for having us there.  It was all pretty darn perfect 🙂

The best thing about all of these pictures is the constant laughter. It makes things look meant to be. Congratulations!!

Karen and Josh’s wedding was so fun.  It was a really great day 🙂  They saw each other before the ceremony and we did lots of photos.  Then we headed to Scripps Seaside Forum for their ceremony and reception.  They chose amazing vendors, and had lots of cute details.  Andrea from A Diamond Celebration helped it all go so smoothly.  I love working with great coordinators, they just make the day easy.  And Preston Foreman is truly an awesome DJ.  Sadly, he’s not doing weddings anymore, but the man is talented.  Karen’s beautiful flowers were done by Jennifer Cole Florals.  And her cake by Sweet Cheeks Baking Company was so different and creative, it made me smile.

I am so thankful that I got to be a part of it.  It’s really great watching wonderful people get married and the really fun party is always a nice bonus 🙂
